Casper was a soldier, who was still haunted by the horrors of war. Rebecca was a grad student, who had an unknown future. they graduated from the same high school and met coincidentally after a many years. they got together and knew each other a little better after he saved her from a bar fight.
the film in overall was having 2 persons walking and talking throughout the screen time. while it was sometimes good, it was most of the time boring. the ending perhaps made the waiting worthwhile but still unavoidably tiresome. with their exchange of traumatic pasts, they bonded simply by talking the whole night away.
