Battles.

Comment(s)
"never engage in battle that you don't gain anything from"

this is one of the lessons that i was exposed to during this semester. it came from the lecturer who is keen to motivate us. battles, such as conflicts and arguments, has to be able to lead to an equal understanding within the relationship (family, friends or partners). it may not be the best way to gain an understanding, but it is nevertheless -- a way. useless battles only drains energy and time. time itself, is said to be the most precious asset one can have, because it never returns. and only you yourself own your own time.

as for battles that are useless. example -- during a conversation, a couple had a slight disagreement. the guy said "it was year 83 when we went to Hawaii", and the girl said "no, it was year 85". and for that, they argued and stopped talking to each other for the rest of the night. but does it matter? shouldn't the focus be on "the trip to Hawaii together", instead of "the year" they went? this argument leads to nothing. no matter who has remembered the year correctly, it makes no difference. it is a waste of time and energy. and it is acidic toward the relationship. slowly corroding it, destroying it.

the example makes me realized that, in many situations in life, we tend to be focus on the wrong thing. we are more focus on negative thinking. "see not what you have to achieve, but see how far had u come". instead of looking at what we had achieve, we look at things that are yet to be done. rushed schedule, tight deadlines .. and for that, we got discouraged. we got unmotivated. there are a lot of experience, from our life and the life of others around us, if not digested or translated into lessons, will never be understood. and similar mistake will keep on occurring n repeating itself.

"say not the words to impress, but say words with strength from within". the power of these lessons and experience, comes from a person living the lessons itself. be consistent between what you say you will do, and make sure that you do what you say you will do. (it rhymes !!)

Intense Stress.

Comment(s)
had been stressed out for more than a week now. since preparing the logbook and test for 1 subject, and doing documents and prototype for the fyp (final year project). don't have to study so hard for the test in fact. because it was an open-book test. and we weren't informed until minutes before the test starts. the lecturer probably did that on purpose just to make us study. instead of letting us wait for success to descent upon us. n not savoring it thoroughly ..

i don't really mind doing the logbook for the subject. yup the entries are quite a lot, n yup it is tedious. but at least we can say whatever we want in it. whatever we feel. whatever that meant something to us. whatever that matters to us. there are barely any wrong answers to it. n whats more? its Fun (with a big "F") !!

but as for the fyp, there is no such leniency. he pushes us to the edge. no mercy. no compassion. to the point that we felt reluctant to attend the class. to the point that we are so so so de-motivated. could this be a good thing? i wonder ..

stress .. oh stress ..

kitty..

innocent fellows .. *hugz*

in relates to cats, here are some photographs taken by devil, with his SE W810i. cats that he saw at cafeteria. and i had it as my desktop wallpaper for the longest of time. it still is my wallpaper by the way. hehe. it took him quite a lot of shots, capturing the exact moment that the cat looked directly into the lens. 1 out of 20+ shots. but which in the end, turn out to be quite worthwhile. :)

yuki (ゆき、雪)..

taken some photographs of yuki (ゆき、雪) few days ago, with my Sony T3. caught him eating grass. i was told that animals have their own health care knowledge. i find it adorable. hehe. he was totally ignoring me during the whole grass-eating process. looking for the parts that he like, had the ground all to himself. and i followed him like a stalker. surrounding him. *evil laugh*

here are more pictures of him.

panorama craze..

Comment(s)
lately, devil had a sudden interest with panoramic photography. pictures that shows an unbroken wide view of landscape or an extensive area.

using the "panorama" feature supported by his mobile phone, SE W810i, here are some of the pictures taken. i wasn't aware of such technique before, and it amazed me. but i soon realized that it took much effort to take a perfect panoramic photograph, especially with a mobile phone, which its display is limited. a deeper research reveals that most of the panoramic photographs are merged using stitching softwares, where multiple individual photographs are taken and "stitched" together.

it was a cool discovery. :)

(proceed to panorama - part 2 for more panoramic photographs)

Gaming: Maple

haven't been mapling lately. kinda misses it ..

login this afternoon. take a look at my long-lost character. she is still as cute and innocent as ever. o(^u^)o then kill and run amok in Ludibrium. haha. and noticed there is a new tower in Ludibrium, called Helios Tower.

instead of going west from Ludibrium, which leads to the EOS Tower, Helios Tower is the east from Ludibrium. the monsters there looks a little different, yet behaves quite similar to the monsters at EOS Tower.

for example, the ratz at EOS Tower is called retz in Helios Tower. retz looks like hamster, so its a little bigger than ratz, which is pure white. and as for the experience gained, it is only around 10 points difference.

after exploring Ludibrium, took a ride from Ludibrium back to Orbis, so that i can return to Victoria to complete some quests. on the way ride heading back, i met the evil, deadly, level 100, Crimson Balrogs. 2 of them !! luckily i was able to run fast enough and hide inside the cabin for the rest of the journey. really like their wings though. why can't the characters have it too? i don't mind it being dark or even black color. :)

here is one of the a useful guide for maplers out there. Happy Mapling!

Bitterness.

the funny thing that i met during this semester .. is having 2 extreme lecturers.

one that motivates you so much, makes you unable to believe how cool life is, n how much you can improve yourself to become a better person. another that de-motivates you so much, you might as well commit suicide or disappear into thin air. (poof !! go bye-bye ..)

isn't life sarcastic when it is put that way?

the thing i tried to consistently remind myself of, is not to be pulled down by the latter lecturer, to the same level that he is. no one gives anyone rights to critic others, and definitely not the right to "kill" another person with words. n yup, words can be as deadly as weapons. they are as sharp, as lethal. and the worst part is, he can "slash" n "kill" anyhow he wants, n still be able to walk away with it. no obligation.

how fun is that ..
