Happy Chinese New Year!

Fireworks (Photograph)

riding onto hours n hours of anime marathon, new year eve seemed to approach much slower. brushing aside the slight exhaustion n loneliness, i stood under the colorful sky as it was brought to life right before the clock strike 12. with drowsy eyes, entranced as i stare into the striking sky, so colorful n alive.

あけましておめでとうございます!

Happy Chinese New Year!

  4. Belated greeting to you princess! Well, I did both! Advance and belated :P Keke... Nice shot! Where did you take this? In Kuching? or somewhere else, dear? Here in my country, everyone will be away on vacation or to their hometown, and that make the entire city unusually quiet heh heh... also no fire work :| cuz it's not public holiday, but since there are many Cambodian Chinese, people taking the days off from both schools and work places, and which is why it looked like ones of the public holidays in an indirect way ^ ^

  6. Heh heh... though CNY is not the public holidays in my country, but people tend to take their days off from workplaces or schools which make it looks a lot like an official public holiday, but again, it is in an 'indirect' way. Some would get stuck working in their offices, but that's the rare case ^ ^ At my law school, for example, we are not allowed to have even one day off from school on Chinese New Year, but students are not coming to class, and I am one of them ^ ^ Some would just stay at home, having family gathering, some would go on vacation *just like I did*, some would just takes the opportunity to visit their hometowns, and such ^ ^ The whole Phnom Penh city won't be as crumpy as it has always been, cuz everyone is out to different provinces ^ ^ or just locked up themselves in the houses, and backup their sleep! ^ ^
