Destroying the Wrong (2013)

Destroying the Wrong

Alissa and Katherine had been best friend since childhood. Alissa got a loving family, a perfect appearance that got her a new boyfriend, Matt. Katherine had always been the supporting character in Alissa life, a loner that only wanted to stay out of the spotlight. they were counting the days until they finish high school and go to college together. but things changed when Alissa met Scott, a man that wouldn't touch her but continued luring her; and Katherine met Walt, an uneasy guy that held great interest towards her.

i received a free e-book from the author in exchanged for a review and finished the book in one sitting. despite having a simple plot, it remained so engaging from its beginning until the very end that the book was impossible to put down. the story followed 2 friends on their high school life, how they avoid being the target of bullies, and how they managed to recover from it after being targeted. while Kat was obviously the more likable character compared to Alissa, it was also understandable why Alissa would be such a person under such circumstances. in many ways, the relatable situation made everything so believable and furthermore captivating.
