the story started with gamers trapped in a fantasy online game called Elder Tale. Shiroe was a calm and strategic mage who supported his friends, guardian tank Naotsugu and assassin Akatsuki. together inside the gaming world, they had to conquer every mission, struggle through every challenges just to stay alive.
the role-playing game was familiar to many gamers, reminded me of the older days where we spent time on similar games like this. the series spent episodes explaining how the game worked. jargons and classes were explained thoroughly, which would be very helpful especially for those who were unfamiliar with the gaming world. humors were often hit or miss but never completely flat or annoying to watch. though not exactly fast paced, the series didn't end up being dull or boring, which was unexpected but pleasant.
