with only 1 episode for the OVA, the storyline was somewhat lacking depth, especially on its happening. the OVA was not in many ways, link to its original series. Elsie for one, was not Keima's self-proclaimed sistser, but Kanon's sidekick. Kanon herself took the spotlight as both the victim as well as hero for vanquishing the spirit by applying various magical girl sequences to it. her idol-like singing ability was bubbly and fluffy, attractive especially with no backing up music. overall, these are not the main characters in the series, giving them a spotlight was generally acceptable if not expected for a character like Kanon.
