Riddick found himself in an uneasy spot as the Lord Marshall of the Necromonger. he made a deal with Commander Vaako, to be sent to Furya in exchange for Vaako to be the next Lord Marshall. however, Vaako was determined to assassinate him. but Riddick escaped during chaos. being left on an unknown terrine, Riddick found himself up against native predators. he fought with the Mud Demons, deadly and difficult to kill creatures that resided in muddy pools. he found and activated an emergency alert, which attracted 2 ships, one carrying a group of bounty hunters, another carrying men from his past.
having not catch the previous 2 sequels, we were thrilled with the exposure of refreshing backdrops and plotlines. for Riddick, it was his survival that made him such an attractive character. after spending so much time in the wilderness, the way he gave in towards human interaction showed his desperation for civilization. there were really too many characters for the film, more than half of them remained in the shadow. however, the pet dingo Riddick managed to bond with, was unexpectedly heartwarming. watching Vin Diesel finally not around cars and guns was a rewarding experience, making us eager to catch the previous 2 sequels.
