Hachiken wished to live separate from his family, so he enrolled himself into an agriculture school. he assumed with his talent in studying, he would have no problem in any school that he choose to attend. however, being raised as a city boy, Yugo found himself struggling with an agriculture lifestyle. he tried to keep up with his new friends, farmers who were already accustomed to the harsh world of farming.
the story followed Hachiken through his cultural shock, trying to adjust himself while entering into a completely new world. it followed his day to day life, which made the series having not much depth for its plot. however, it was pleasant to know that the series managed to be entertaining through its outstanding and lovable characters. he was relatable in the sense that he couldn't accept killing the farm animals that were destined to be food, or got overly attached to them like house pet. his interactions with his new friends, especially Tamako and Komaba, were fun to watch. despite the slow pacing, the series managed to remain thoroughly enjoyable.
