Fruits Basket (2001)
フルーツバスケット

Fruits Basket

finally get to finish the anime, stuck years ago due to the licensing .. thingy. a beautiful anime with a unique theme that evolved around the 12 chinese zodiacs n a cat. some members of the family are possessed by the soul of these animals. focused mainly on family n friendship. but somehow, the way the main actress presents her gratefulness toward life, makes the anime .. a rather depressing one. remembered as an anime that turned my day blue ..

some backgrounds on the anime:
- episodes: 26
- director: Daichi Akitaro (大地丙太郎)
- released: 2001
- language: Japanese
- genre: Comedy/Drama

  1. I kinda like this anime, quite emotional in some ways. I like the ending song even more.

  6. rollakid: iirc ?? i don't like the way tohru is represented, she's definitely the hiding type. "i'm sad, i'll cry on my own without involving anyone that seriously cares about me."

: herm .. it's my fault to introduce anime because your exam is near ??

akira: i wonder what it means. maybe something like "good n bad all together" ?? no idea. :p

barbie: i'm not exactly an otaku (people with obsessive interests, particularly anime, manga, and video games), but i enjoy them. :) nor am i specifically into fantasy, since i enjoy the dark side (such as vampires) as much as i love the brighter fairy tales. ;)
