Perodua Nautica 4WD

released at the end of April 2008, it looks fairly like Toyota Rush to me .. except being a local brand. 1.5 liter DVVT engine, n it comes in automatic transmission (gear) only.

i'm actually .. only interested in its name ..

nautica, the Naughty Car !!

  4. I never bothered about resale value, I don't believe in selling my own car, though I won't mind other people do so so I can buy cheaper 2nd hand car.

That aside, the Nautica is actually just a 4wd version of the Toyota Rush. Rush have 4wd models in Japan but it is not sold here because it would clash with the Nautica. Consider Perodua is owned 70% by Daihatsu (in 2005 at least), and Daihatsu is 100% Toyota, I don't see why Toyota would want to shoot themselves in the foot.

I see better value in the Nautica than the Rush, but then if you don't need 4wd, 2wd will give you more horsepower to the ground. Less drivetrain lose.

No wonder you go naughty car on msn XD

I rather get non-Malaysian car which cost almost the same .. and guess what .. interest rate for non-Malaysia car is lower.. i wonder why

  9. Just something: Perodua Nautica have more parts made in Japan than Toyota Rush. Technically Nautica is more "Japan" than the Rush.

  10. rollakid: people always said "the moment you bought a car, its value drop; the moment you bought a house, its value rise". guess we can't blame them for the thought, since it is the typical chinese thinking. XD

nautica is more japan, except for the steel, so i read. hate the monopolize concept mainly, can't help being annoyed.

shiera: what a big car for a girl !! you continue to amazed me. ;) i, on the other hand, prefer smaller n slicker car. :p

joshua: 换来换去还是 kenari 吧,就像 myvi 也是,呵呵。:p

barbie: i can actually imagine that scene with you driving down the road. you'll stand out, that's for sure !! XD

dav didi: wait .. what is the price ?? i'm not interested in getting it, but just for the Name sake that i'm posting it. :p

  14. Malaysian's 2nd hand car market is considered among the best in the world, for sellers at least.

Let's look at UK, Korean and Malaysian cars lose their value fastest. I read somewhere that just after 18 months, a proton car will lose about 70% of it's original value (more shockingly, it loses 40-50% just after 1 day you bought it).

On the other hand, cars like the mini cooper hold's their value extremely well, holds 80% of it's value after 20 years, if you do not look at the inflation.

I won't mind buying an old suzuki swift for 650 quid in UK if I ever have to work there, just throw it away and buy anther one after 2 years.

  15. 91k I'd be buying a Toyota Hilux. Need a diesel car.

Maybe the old one, if I can find one in good condition. It's so tough that even the terrorist uses it, says some popular British tv show.
