Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole (2010)

the animation was based on its first 3 books (the Capture, the Journey, the Rescue) out of 16. kidnapped together with his brother, they were brainwashed into soldiers. escaped with a new friend, they had to find the guardians for help. an absolutely stunning animation! its plot may be straightforward but if you don't mind a little lengthy storytelling session, it is definitely an awesome adventure worthwhile joining.

pets: grass-eating

grass-eating is not something new to be seen on house pets. however there are no clear answer to why they are doing it. some said for digestion, some said for sick stomach, some said for the juices of the grass, the vitamins in it. but the most believing one would be to remove indigestible substances, like furballs n bones.

Kobato (2009) こばと

guided by her teacher with the appearance of a stuffed animal, her mission on earth was to fill a bottle of scarred hearts. an enjoying anime though it progressed rather slowly, long-winded with varies characters that popped in n out of the episodes. however CLAMP continued to do a great job with their drawings just as their previous works - Card captor Sakura, Tsubasa, etc.

it was just around the corner when she went looking. he hid it, all these while, not wanting it to go against her. yet his kindness she did not want, welcoming only the truth. not in one whole lump sum but every itsy bitsy pieces he buried. it whimpered when she found it, tightly she held it close to her chest. hoping this time, it would stay, longer.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002)

their second year at Hogwarts, bloody writings were found on the walls, students turned up petrified. when fear took hold of everyone, the trio were forced to secretly investigate the rumored secret chamber before lives were taken. an eerie n highly intensified sequel of Harry Potter. though the truth was less impressive than anticipated, the process was absolutely captivating n worth catching.

Grievance.

she screamed her lungs out, only to find him speeding off, left without a word while slamming the door behind him. pressure built up inside her as time went by. stuck under the roof for months, he was her sole getaway. as much as the two love each other, responsibilities heaved, taking a tow on both.

Dance in the Vampire Bund (2010) ダンスインザヴァンパイアバンド

the princess n ruler of vampires, aimed to bring her race up to the surface. politicians, terrorists plotted to assassinate her. with her strength n a werewolf bodyguard, she had to fend of the enemies as well as gaining authority in the human world. an anime that was interesting at first glance, but as the anime progressed, the plot made the anime rather old.

Mid Autumn.

standing in the very same street, moving along the very same crowd, memories came swarming back like it was just yesterday. the sky was no longer raining, the person standing beside was no longer the same. strolled leaning close against each other among the horde, emotions were no longer complicated, but clear as the bright spotlights hung above.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001)

on his 11th birthday, a letter came inviting him to join Hogwarts, the school of witchcraft n wizardry. his life took a huge turn ever since. meeting new friends, finally having a place to call home. n when voldemort planned to steal the philosopher's stone, he went all out to protect it. an introduction to the sequels of Harry Potter. it was fun n absolutely exciting joining their adventure!

Vehemence.

pressed against the wall in the icy cold room, the heat against her body was the only sign of his existence. the night submerged deeper along with his rhythmic breathing. another anticipated day laid straight ahead. they once said, it is not where you are, but who you spent it with that matters.

Shangri-la (2009) シャングリ・ラ

a girl fighting against the government for the survival of her people. an average anime, which touched on too much political stuff for a complete understanding. however, the anime is not recommended for those who find cross-dressing or transvestism disturbing.

Impermeability.

advices being brushed off n swept into the corner like they worth less than nothing. doubts n defensiveness clouded his mind, pulling them apart when she tried to be truthful. already biased, suddenly sharing her insights seemed like nothing but attempts to assault his idealized dreams. foresee the problems coming their way with the aim to separate their path, she clumsily, desperately confronted with fingers crossed, lurched at the only hope to fight alongside.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)

he was abandoned at the old folks home after born. looked old despite being young, he soon realized he was growing younger instead of older. meeting the love of his life, they share a life with many turns they cannot control nor change. with an interesting plot, the film managed to keep the suspense going as curiosity easily held our attention. a touching film despite the lengthy explanations.

Alacrity.

out of unconsciousness, it flew through the lane like whirlwind. confidently in control, drifting among tunnels of beings like it. racing after each other, eagerly passing around their never ending tags. turned on by the adrenaline, the chase.

Sasameki Koto (2009) ささめきこと

they liked each other but failed to notice it any sooner. together they joined the unofficial girls' club n went through a lot that forced them to be apart from each other. though there wasn't an obvious end, the anime remained entertaining towards the end.

he loves sneaking into the living room when no one was out front in the living room. back from exploring the town, we caught him taking an afternoon nap inside the house. looked at us innocently, he had no intention to move either.

Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010)

she continued her journey, searching for survivors in the world dominated by the deadly virus infection. meeting old friends n making new ones, together they battled the undead, as well as Umbrella Corporation. a film that was action packed, with well arranged plot. another awesome sequel that did not fail to entertain! expecting possible sequel in the near future.

being a chauvinist make it almost impossible for them to flirt. once in a blue moon maybe? don't count on it though.

Kiddy Girl-and (2009) キディ・ガーランド

a clumsy girl teamed up with a serious girl, less interesting if compare to Kiddy Grade. instead of doing missions, they were trainees, assigned as waitresses, aiming to be become members of the galaxy defenders. too bad the main characters weren't the same as the previous season, only worth a catch if you have Kiddy Grade's basic plot in mind, for this anime jumped right into the story without much explanation.

Malaysian 88 Taiwan Typhoon Campaign

enough Negativity, here is one touching (mandarin) video recorded back in August 2009. directed by Namewee, sang by a group of malaysian artists (光良, 張棟樑, 易桀齊, 張智成, 方炯賓, 林宇中, 林建輝, 龔柯允), to raise donations for "Malaysian 88 Taiwan Typhoon Campaign".

Doomsday (2008)

a lethal plague spread, infected n killing many. to contain the threat, the authorities brutally quarantine the country. the government had to fight against the survivors. an interesting film to catch! filled with actions n brutality, it was actually funny.

Namewee: 黄明志

from his Popularity to the Lawsuit, he never failed to amuse. since then, he continued to come out with more musics/short movies to keep the fans entertained n inspired. being a Taurus (1983) explains his sense of artistic, n his stubbornness on continuing provoking everyone who is provoked n especially, those who choose to fight back.

Winter Sonata (2009) 冬のソナタ

a japanese anime, adapted from the korea drama, using the voices of its original casts. in love since high school, an accident separated them. everyone a hypocrite, 10 years was wasted living a made-up life. the anime was rather slow n typical with an amnesia plot. can't compare to its drama since i didn't watch it.

Playground.

dust bunnies trampling wildly across the mattress, leaped across the air with the help of mr. fan. it was only natural to be friendly, partying through the night getting to know the stranger in the room.

Shutter Island (2010)

assigned to investigate the disappearance of a patient on the island. soon he discovered something was kept from him, a secret the hospital wasn't willing to admit. he began to struggle against his investigation, memory, n sanity. a not so flashy movie but with a very interesting plot. it was difficult not to follow the case along with its character, trying to see what he was seeing. definitely worth the ride.

Potential.

puny brains that got stuck in negativity for eternity. it was only likely to expect no evolution from such weak hearts, such unwillingness to expand from the irregular superiority. little were there to say, relying on god for his generous guidance.

Macross Plus Movie Edition (1995) マクロスプラス

3 friends were reunited being separated after an unfortunate incident. a top secret project had 2 of them pilot the new machines, as test pilots, which they made use to prove themselves more superior than another. the third friend was a producer of a popular virtual idol. a slow moving anime, with dreamlike plot. the past that separated them, was what brought them back together.

Exigent.

with the scorching sun above their head n the cooling sand sipping through their toes, they explored n wandered within the fenced-in nature. crowds drifted by every now n then, everyone with their very own expressions hanging on their face. her mind alone was as complicated as theirs put together. shaking her head consciously, she brushed away the pressing thoughts that held her back from fully enjoying his company.

Step Up 3D (2010)

they were a group of dancers with nowhere else to belong. though each with their personal issue to settle, together they battled to win the world jam championship to be acknowledged as the best hip hop dancers. the personal n lovey dovey part was rather typical; but like most dance flick, the dancing part was absolutely impressive n mesmerizing! worth a catch if you feel like street dancing is cool n most of the time, Fun!

Aplomb.

nausea after running through the maddening map, thrashing against zillions of enemies that burst out of the screen within seconds, she was defeated in real life though won in the virtual. every bump on the road managed to push her closer to the edge. he pulled her closer, forcing down bites, taming her insides. when the turbulence finally left, peace stayed with her, together with his steady breathing laying beside.
