located at 7th mile (Kuching), this Sarawak Laksa somehow .. depends very much on the cook's mood. sometimes muddy enough (but mostly not), sometimes spicy enough (again, mostly not). so .. let's just say that it is somewhere "just average" .. *shrug*

Cloverfield (2008)

the film was .. one hell of an experience. *inhale* it felt like cheap filmography. i, who never once puke in plane or ship, was actually having nausea while leaving the cinema. thank god i didn't take my dinner prior the movie .. the director's intention was probably to get its viewers "involved" in the fleeing-from-monster act (which i doubt the actors felt as sicked as we do). but the "shaking-camera-for-one-n-a-half-hour" is just to much to take, way too uncomfortable, even for me .. the plot was quite simple - huge monster attack New York city, told from the point of view of a small group of people. it document their attempt to survive the surreal n horrifying event of their lives, with the camcorder leftover as evidence.

Korean Da-om BBQ House

located at Jalan Song (Kuching), this Korean restaurant have some of the cool dishes, even steamboat - Korean style.

i rarely tried Korean food (yes, i know that i'm much more biased towards Japanese food ..), therefore the food seemed kinda strange to me. such as "rice inside chicken soup", which makes it neither rice nor porridge. but its taste can be considered nice ..

Gabriel (2007)

the movie was absolutely Beautiful in a gothic way !! i was surprised when the girl in front of my kept yelling "sucks, sucks, sucks" while walking out of the cinema. what a pity it is that she missed the beauty of it all !! i admit it was a little disappointing to find angels fighting with guns n fists instead of supernatural powers. but it doesn't reduce the Fun n "wow" experienced in the movie. the contact lenses, for once, are put to great use. they all have shimmering n mesmerizing eyes, let it be cool-blue or raging-red !! *excited* the film involves the battle between the "Arc" angels against the "Fallen" angels. at present, the city is rule by darkness (the Fallen angels). Gabriel, the last of the 7 Arc angels (Gabriel, Uriel, Raphael, Michael, Amitiel, Remiel, Ithuriel) are sent to return light to the city. consume human form for the first time, he faced the darkness of a human soul, which feelings and emotions are taking control ..

located at 5th mile (Kuching), this somehow hidden shop has one of the popular Sarawak Laksa. the taste was awesome, the muddiness is just perfect !! but .. not enough spicy .. guess nothing is perfect after all.

Heath Ledger (1979-2008) - the talented actor that casted The Patriot n Brokeback Mountain was found dead in his Manhattan apartment, at 3:35pm, January 22nd, 2008.

the current reason given is either "suicidal" or "drug overdose". ain't sure what to expect, as i rarely track down celebrities' personal life, only focusing on their movies n actings. he was such a Great actor to begin with !! sad indeed .. *grieving*

his last cast turned out to be the Joker in a Batman's movie - The Dark Knight (July 2008) - his very first villain cast. must catch it .. must, must catch it .. *sniff sniff*

Chef At Home

located near Hui Sing (Kuching), Chef at Home offers varieties of western food. it is setup at a house, with roofs extensions, so pretty much offers a homey-feeling.

the food ain't bad at all, the soup-in-bread was one of a kind, making the crunchy bread very yummy. the meat was nicely grilled, topped with delicious sauces (black pepper/mushroom). the pasta however, was too buttery to my preference. i prefer cheesy than buttery, which caused the pasta to taste like milk powder .. *shivers*

Mahoraba まほらば ~ Heartful Days (2005)

a heart warming n funny series. my favorite character is Sayoko Kurosaki (黒崎沙夜子), an irresponsible yet loving mother of Asami Kurosaki (黒崎朝美). her constantly blur personality makes her very, very adorable !! Shiratori Ryuushi (白鳥隆士) is a young artist-in-training. arriving at his new lodgings, Narutakisou (鳴滝荘), he meets the other residents, each with their own characteristic n story. he fell for the lovely landlady, Aoba Kozue (蒼葉梢). however, Kozue is not what she seems to be... in fact, she's has multiple personalities.

Mei Mei Food Centre 美美美食中心

located at Chonglin park (Kuching), Mei Mei Food Centre is our average coffee shop (kopitiam). the Sarawak Laksa there was quite nice, a little unfair if consider it to be "just average". though not pure (muddy), but spicy enough.

being a Sarawak Laksa fan, i will be starting to post those that i'd tried ..

tHe Spring.

the Spring's opening was on the 10th January 2008. i went on the night after its opening ceremony on the 9th, but they closed early .. d'oh .. it is huge indeed !! especially if compared to Kuching's available malls, with lotsa branded retails. it is a start, finally ..

zoo negara: tortoise..

either because the turtle loves rain or because it knows i'm snapping photographs, it managed to keep its head up for at least 3 minutes !! took multiple shots of it during the trip to Zoo Negara.

Old Town.

located at Cheras, Old Town was crowded with people, one of the famous nighttime hang-about. ordered a thick garlic toast along with the rice n mee, which in overall, i would considered average food.

the birds at Zoo Negara has all the same attitude, as in "not avoiding human beings", therefore makes it easier to take photographs of them, even at the closer distance. perfect !! :)

the snakes are the far most active creatures i've seen during the trip to Zoo Negara. n they do pose .. beautifully !! elegant indeed .. ;)

taken a trip to the Zoo Negara, located in Ulu Klang, with the entrance fee of RM15/person. the animals got drowsy because of the rainy weather, most of them were found asleep or lazed around .. *grunt*

located at 6th floor of Sungei Wang, Shin (辛) Restaurant served decent Korean food. nothing too fancy, yet unique enough to catch our attention.

bought all 3 types of berries from Jusco - Strawberries, Blueberries n Raspberries. we finished the strawberries too fast, before i managed to capture it. so leftovers are the blueberries n raspberries ..

The Game Plan (2007)

a simply wonderful n Magical movie, as expected from Disney .. i am, indeed, bias towards The Rock, if you're wondering. had been a fan of his since high school (who weren't ?? :p) 's WWF, then WWE, the Mummy, the Scorpion King .. his smile, which he rarely shows, are as charming as it can gets !! his helplessness with the kid was simply adorable. aw .. *hugs* the film is a huge recommendation even if you're not a fan of The Rock. it is heart-touching, warming, cozy n funny. its about family n love ..

anatomi ストリートウエア (streetwear)..

located in Sungei Wang, Anatatomi ストリートウエア is my favorite store during the KL trip. can't help going through every shelf of clothing they had, in search of unique clothing wearable in Kuching. *drooling all over the place* they sure have one hell of a collection !! :D

stop imagine myself living in KL n exploring the gothic trend, where the source is openly available !! *non-stop giggling*

located at KLCC, Genki Sushi is similar to Sushi King, with more common sushi (寿司) n various types of Japanese ryori (料理), considered more affordable compared to Sushi Groove.

the Eye on Malaysia is located at Titiwangsa's Lake Garden. a mini version of London Eye, 60 metre high, turned 5 times, in the speed .. a little too fast for an observation wheel .. *chuckled*

located at One Utama, Sushi Groove is considered a new-age sushi discovery. "new-age" as in Creativity Rules !! strange combinations are found, yet still managed to trigger my taste buds. definitely a cool experience !!

he suffers amnesia after being hit over the head, waking up to finds himself entangled in a government conspiracy. he came to believe that he is an undercover agent. a rather hilarious film to catch. i went in the cinema not knowing the plot. n had a great time being lead around the bushes, believing that he really is the agent. there wasn't a boring period for the movie, suspension flowing. it is a recommendation for comedy lover.

Garfield Gets Real (2007)

the plot was confusing to some - garfield n odie got thrown from the comic-world to the real-world, n they struggled to get back to the comic-world before their appearance in the newspapers' comic strip is replaced. the characters, other than garfield n odie, are not exactly beautiful, more like unimportant supporting casts. previous garfield animation had been fun, unfortunately this version is Not a recommendation ..

Casshern キャシャーン (2004)

the great war destroyed the planet, leaving it affected by nuclear, polluted and diseased. a geneticist developed a technique called the "neo-cell", capable of regenerating human body parts. an incident erupted in his lab, unleashing a new race of mutant humans - the Shinzo Ningen (新造人間). their intention is to annihilate the humans n raise their new world. Casshern, the son of the geneticist, died n was reincarnated. the battle between Casshen n the Shinzo Ningen therefore began. if you're into criticizing "how fake" 3D backgrounds are, you probably should skip this movie. majority of the backgrounds n scenes are 3D made. personally, i don't mind, therefore the fights were fun !! pretty much game-like.

Calmness.

felt much calmer lately, at least i haven't been hiding my existence n weep silently. like -xian- told me earlier on, to "shed only the tears of happiness". i guess i was kinda mourning .. thank you n appreciate so much for the Emotional Supports that i'd received all these while.

on Christmas 2007, -wang wang- had officially became my new Cuddly Companion - extra comfort especially during movie-watching-session ..

劇場版 Bleach: Memories of Nobody (2006)

unidentifiable spirits, called the “blanks” (vacant souls), suddenly appeared cumulatively in town. Ichigo then met a shinigami (死神) named Senna, n a man named Ganryu that leads a group. Ganryu kidnapped Senna with the intention to rule Soul Society. the story is unrelated to the anime itself, therefore not much confusion will occur. Senna's appearance was kinda mysterious though, gets the suspension flowing. worth watching if you're a bleach fan.
