on June 1st, Gawai Day/Gawai Dayak is a festive season celebrated by the natives of Sarawak - Iban (Sea Dayak) n Bidayuh (Land Dayak). one of their most interesting culture, which i always have fun imitating, is their traditional dance - ngajat. below is a video found, recording the dance performances shown at Sarawak Cultural Village.

the sun had started to set, sitting in the middle of the road, it was having great time rubbing itself on the warm ground. neither seeing us approached, nor us leaning closer managed to frighten it. i had my fair share of rubbing its soft fur as well. a little girl followed right after me.

Deception (2008)

the film is rather tricky n smart. definitely recommended for those who appreciate the slight twist of mind. the Game of the business world, where everyone let loose of their inner thirst. "no names, no details." the ending took us by surprise. just when we thought the film is gonna end typically, it did not. we were left feeling very amused!

Impelling.

with one huge adventure barely starting, another previously anticipated lighter version began without notice. overwhelmed by excitement n expectancies, both journeys began; hand in hand with worries n foreseen difficulties. failed to restrain the captivating sensation, they melted right into each others arms.

Umi Monogatari ~Anata ga Ite Kureta Koto~ (2009) うみものがたり～あなたがいてくれたコト～

2 sisters from the sea, 1 of them happened to be Maiden of the Sea. while the girl they met while was the Maiden of the Skies. together their hidden powers awakened, protecting the world from the threatened darkness. with an interesting plot, the anime was both humorous n entertaining. n friendship came together with the least expected people.

Coerced.

along the tight corner n dark corridor, hastily rushing through being pushed from behind. perfection turned down without effort, sunlight being blocked out mercilessly. expecting aids yet being turned against, throwing irresponsible words messily in the air, drawing pain into others thoughtlessly. with expostulation completely unheard, adaptation nature came in handy. left with nowhere else to turn, holding onto hope with fingers crossed, wishing only for the best.

Race to Witch Mountain (2009)

again, disney did not fail to entertain. an awesome n exciting ride with a cab driver n the alien siblings. The Rock is again making full used of his impressively believing facial expressions. together with the siblings' supernatural power, they reached Witch Mountain to save the siblings' UFO for them to get home.

another shot of the food-begging cat at the kopitiam where we had our breakfast. from the dozens of shots we took, it was proven to be easily enslaved by food. not forgetting to clean itself while waiting as well.

Friend or Fiend.

keenness abruptly withdrawn without warning after one single day, left everyone else stunned n lost. accepting advices easily from mere acquaintances knew only months, yet defensive against family knew for years; painfully aware, words apparently more persuasive than experiences. disappointment washed over, not for the wavering plan, but the failure to be straightforward, beating around the bush in confusing n awkward pattern.

Neo Angelique Abyss Second Age (2008) ネオ アンジェリーク

the stories continued after 6 months, the life-draining demons covered the sky, taking over their town. the journey began when she regained consciousness n the battles continue. this season is a close continuation after the first. a must catch for those we watched its first.

Adam Lambert: For Your Entertainment (2009)

a gay, a showoff, a sexual symbol, a theatrical performer instead of singer, many more labels were thrown at him mercilessly; but behind all those flashy costumes n makeups, he seriously got a wicked Voice!

not being a huge american idol fan, i only caught season 1 (2002), where kelly clarkson caught my attention with her strong voice. not until i caught the finale of season 8 (2009) that i started to believe that there will be more surprises coming from this routinized competition. paula called him the next icon, below is a video for sharing:

Hibiscus.

dream inching closer, almost tasting the sweetness on the lips. coming into sight all too suddenly, so near yet too far to cling onto. heart beat racing, thumping hard in the ear, pushing hard against the chest. rationality fought the desire mercilessly, fiercely in every thought.

The Happening (2008)

scientists were trying to understand the changes of nature, yet it was something much urgent, unexplained, that hit the planet. they had to escape when everyone around them started to behave horribly n disturbingly. the movie started out to be shocking, which quickly turned into suspense n excitements. it is a highly recommended movie if certain amount of horror elements are tolerable.

3. inside the Cache folder, right click to "Arrange Icons by Size", scroll to the bottom of the page. the larger the file type, the higher the chance of it being a video. add a file extension ".flv" to any chosen file.
   
   
4. (download n) use the FLV player to play the file.

finally a chance to sort out the photographs taken during the last chinese new year. gotten up nosing around while we were preparing to head out, he was as welcoming as our previous trip at the end of last year. according to -piggy-, this posture is "bowing" in dog language, will only be seen when the dog is with its owner. in cat language however, it is just stretching after a long nap. what says you?

Neo Angelique Abyss (2008) ネオアンジェリーク

their town was plagued by life-draining demons. they are purifiers, able to exterminate them. a lot of repetitive but it managed to remain interesting throughout the anime. the drawings for one thing, is absolutely beautiful. worth catching, but recommended to watch both seasons in one go.

Dawdling.

shuddered at the sight of countless, aimless rolling n strolling. continued to wander with his eyes wide shut, not asleep yet not awake. scream out, stop hiding, thrash the fear to dominate, take charge; it's time to step over the fence of idealism.

目を覚ます！

Moonstruck.

wild desire n spontaneous urge broke into me, one so imperfect yet stubbornly determine to strive hard. eager to leap forward as the choices rose n flashed by in mesmerizing rainbow colors, so dreamily alluring, so overly seductive. brought off ground, gripped hard onto the Hope standing so closely beside.

Toy Story 2 (1999)

the toys came alive when their owners were not around. he was accidentally placed in a yard sale. the rest of the toys went to save him, while he met other toys in the new environment. the animation was like a follow-up for its first sequel. both entertaining n relaxing.

Narcissism

to make things clear, i have nothing against it. just that the way this guy put it (in the video below) was rather entertaining. let's not be judgmental, tune up the volume n just enjoy what he has to say. oh, n by the way, it is in Cantonese. enjoy!

taken during breakfast, another shot of the kitty begging for food. unafraid of human, it handled human's sympathy just perfectly!

Ristorante Paradiso (2009) リストランテ・パラディーゾ

she decided to go to Rome to see her mother who left her during childhood. she later fell for an older man who worked at her mother's restaurant n for that, she joined them as a cooking apprentice. this is a rather slow anime. with beautiful n soothing drawings but there wasn't much with the plot.

Inuyasha 犬夜叉

for years we had been waiting for Rumiko to finish her longest series. the length it took for the anime to air between its first n second season was so far apart that many gave up believing there will actually be a continuation. fortunately there was, before Inuyasha was put to an end for both its anime/manga. only read a few chapters of its manga; but for the anime, it was definitely worth the catch. though included quite a number of recaps, not a single moment through the 167+25 episodes were nowhere near dull.

Doltishness.

when 2 minds put together outsmarted 2.5, was it not something to be proud of? when a bucket of cold water poured right down her head, she was instantly puzzled, wondering where she went wrong. stare burning into the all too familiar ceiling above. "perhaps," she thought, "i was the fool."

愚かと信じて。

Iron Man 2 (2010)

now an exposed superhero, he was pressured by the government to share his technology. defending it with his life, he had to discover a new way to save both his life n fend off a new enemy. picking up from where it was left off, Iron Man 2 continue to entertain. a huge letdown though, when the enemy died unexpectedly quick, despite the buildup intensity prior to the final battle. 2 (sequels) down, 1 last one to go.

Torridity.

when the heat was suddenly tuned up high, the air ignited, it became almost impossible to breath. gasping for air, she choked, clawing at the air for something to grab hold to. that very minute, that very sensation had everything scrambled around her in a mess. as the calmness slowly closed in, his warmth draped her in a tight, soothing embrace.

the continuation of its first season, she was brought back into the past n joined forces with a half-demon, Inuyasha, to continue tracking the shards of a powerful jewel that fell into the wrong hands of the evil Naraku (奈落). the second season was as interesting n impressive as its first. definitely a must catch for Inuyasha fans!

JBWKZ: Jabbawockeez (2008)

the world is taking about them - the Jabbawockeez. they are an all-male hip-hop dance crew from California. famous after winning the MTV's dance competition - America's Best Dance Crew (ABDC) in 2008. their signature are the white masks n gloves, encouraging the audiences to focus on their group movements instead of individual dancers.
