Nana (2005)
ナナ

Nana

2 girls sat next to each other on a train to Tokyo. despite having a completely different style and personalities, they were both coincidentally 20-years-old and named Nana. one of them was a punk who rocked the world by being a vocalist in a band called Black Stones; another simply moved to Tokyo to start a new life with her boyfriend. chasing after their dreams, they met again renting an apartment together, which changed their life ever since.

a very unlikely friendship formed between the 2 Nanas, which bonded more strongly than any average friendship could. despite having different backgrounds, both Nanas lacked friendship in their lives. their bond was so heartwarming that it easily made the film one of the very few high quality Japanese films that we managed to catch. every conflicting aspects worked surprisingly well together, which drawn us helplessly into the plot and characters emotionally, shedding tears generously.
