“天龙八部影视城”是为了拍摄而兴建的一个大型影视拍摄基地。主体建筑有城墙、城门、皇宫、王府、大理街。

大理比昆明冷了些，海拔更高了，都在6°C左右，空气也较稀薄。大理的白族，女生叫“金花”，男生叫“阿鹏哥”。这里同样不叫“小姐”或“先生”。金花们都以白为贵；首饰则以银饰和玉佩象征漂亮。金花出生时，妈妈会在她左手戴上银手镯，希望能守护着金花的心脏。金花结婚时，丈夫则会在她右手戴上银手镯，希望把她套牢。结婚没有戒指，右手的银手镯就是戒指和结婚的象征。
