Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007)

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

first of all, i too am biased towards Musical (second after Vampires n the unknown creatures ..). although the movie was bloody, disturbing, gruesome .. but i love it !! it was extremely good, the musics especially !! there are so much compliments i can give for this film, the black-n-white effect n the gloomy town, the slashing of throats n visible bloods .. it goes on n on .. *wicked laughters* Johnny Depp n Tim Burton has always worked well together on films. those that i had watched are such as Sleepy Hollow (1999), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005), Corpse Bride (2005) .. i've gotta agree that they did a pretty good job for these films. Sweeney Todd's plot can be described in simple word - "Revenge" .. a powerful strength indeed.

after years in exile for a crime he didn't commit, Benjamin Barker (Sweeney Todd) returns to London to find his wife dead n daughter became Judge Turpin's ward. clouded with anger, he goes on a murderous rampage with the help of Mrs. Lovett. he opens a barber shop on top of her meat pie Shop. they lures his victims to be casually slaughtered n make into meat pies. Sweeney's lust for revenge took control of him before long, he noticed he killed the wrong person ..

some backgrounds on the movie:
- director: Tim Burton
- released: 2007
- casts: Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman, Timothy Spall
- language: English
- genre: Musical/Thriller
