after hiding for 5 years, Riddick met with Iman at New Mecca and found out that Jack had been captured. when a bounty hunter crept up on him, he allowed himself to be caught, so he could find Jack in the same prison. they were reunited but Jack now a different person, calling herself Kyra. in the meanwhile, planets were conquered by a new forces that called themselves the Necromongers. while the high priest converted everyone except Riddick, who killed those he had the chance to get near with, attracted the Lord Marshal's attention. identify as a remaining Furyan, the Lord Marshal wanted him dead by threatening him with Kyra's life at stake.
having watched its sequels, we were from the very first minute, absorbed into the familiar storyline and awesome graphics. the background story took a while to get used to even for us, especially with the new introduction on the race called Necromongers. they were interesting to watch, if not slightly pitiful to have been the bad guys of the film. the twist of having another Furyan hidden among the Necromongers was even more impressive as he passed useful knowledge to Riddick to take down the cruel Lord Marshal. it was impossible to not thoroughly enjoy the film. being so different, Riddick himself was already a character powerful enough to held out attention.
