though non blood related, their official relationship is father n son. non officially, they are lovers. it is very sweet how the story goes. how he struggles to trust his father, a famous actor with a deceiving look. how they overcome the gossips spread by medias, building their trust towards each other. the ending is both touching n satisfying. a recommendation if you're into Yaoi (やおい).

Jolly 食家美食中心

located at 7th Mile Bazaar (Kuching), Jolly has a Sarawak Laksa stall with 2 different owners. one opened in the morning; the other in the Afternoon (after 2pm). the Laksa served in the Afternoon shift is much better than the one served at morning's shift.

the muddiness is above average n spicy is average, making it one of the Laksas Recommended ..

another Chinese New Year reaching its end ..

time, indeed, is the toughest challenge. after a cruel test n cumulative efforts that lasted for more than a year, i obviously still wasn't accepted for who i am. the thought of not given the freedom to express my negative emotions haunt me in my sleep. suppressing n get blamed for reveling my thoughts drains me dearly ..

i admit doesn't showing my true emotions to just about anyone. but when i do, be grateful that my smile ain't fake towards you, be grateful that i trusted you enough to reveal my true-self to you ..

i'm who i'm, n darned Proud of it !! i'm one whole package that contains both the good n bad qualities. Take it or Leave it, n that's Final ..

Chong Choon Cafe 泉春茶室

located at Abell Road (Kuching), Chong Choon serves its famous Sarawak Laksa, which usually finished before 10 a.m. however, after trying it out, it doesn't meet its standard at all.

the taste ?? average muddiness n not spicy. kinda disappointing i admit .. *frown*

Uta Kata うた∽かた (2004)

first of all, the anime started of with increment of confusions throughout the episodes. the confusion slowly turned into annoyance, because all you see is huge colourful elemental spirit (Djinn, ジン) appearing n disappearing, evilness n goodness compete within the girl. the cloudiness only started to clear up around episode 10. things started to make a little more sense, n returning to be captivating. the anime is about Ichika's life over a summer holiday after she meets Manatsu, who came out from a mirror. she then possessed the power to summon spiritual creatures called Djinn (ジン) to help her when she or her friends are in danger. however, she slowly lost control over her transformation.

bamboo bridge..

near the entrance of culture village, there is a bridge made out of bamboo. it has quite a distance to it, n the path is made up of 2 bamboo sticks put together. imagine these are the type of bridges used at old times, or maybe even now .. freaky ..

though slow, but we did manage to finish crossing it !! *self-applause*

hidden at one of the corner at culture village, the mini waterfall was a graceful view. with insects chirping in the background, the whooshing sound composed by the waterfall makes nature's music absolutely elegant .. ;)

at a fast glance, she looked kinda like avril .. the comedy is sweet, the chemical is in the air, the world is realistic n believing .. a perfect love story !! one that get my eyes wet when they finally got married. fate brought them together in such an impossible way, yet enough to proof that they belonged to each other ..

took a trip to the culture village (Kuching), which being a local, i'm suppose to at least been there once .. *ehem* anyway, it was quite a trip !! it's like returning to the origin or base or some sort, definitely worth the experience .. ;)

Rambo (2008)

i didn't remember watching the previous Rambo films. this version is undeniably cruel, bloody, violence, gory. there wasn't a boring moment for the movie. n the message was well delivered - "Rambo saves the day !!". John Rambo has retreated to a simple life in a rural Thai village. he helps ferry a group of Americans into a war-zone in Burma, where villagers are tortured by the sadistic soldiers. they save the kidnapped victims n fight the whole army.

while most of the country only celebrate Valentine on February 14th, Japan celebrate an extra day - White Day on March 14th, 1 month after Valentine. during Valentine, girls present chocolates to the guy of their choice; whereas during White Day, the boy returns the favor.

here in Kuching, we exchange gifts during Valentine. roses, soft toys, balloons are sell everywhere, with fancy designs compared to previous years. adorable, ain't they ?? ;)

Feel the Noise (2007)

first of all, the music is kinda unique !! but personally, i find the movie focus too much on showing how much they love Puerto Rico, to the extend where i find it unpleasant. especially the part with the "we have ways to do things in our town", it felt like the town is run by mafia .. is that how the real Puerto Rico govern their country ?? *raised eyebrow* unfortunately, the movie didn't focus as much on music as i hoped. too much personal issues, too much trivia matters, which is kinda wasted ..

Pizza Hut.

have you tried out Pizza Hut's latest Chinese New Year pizza - Golden Happiness Cheesy Crown ?? we went yesterday, n it turned out to be .. Not what we expected ..

first of all, the "outlook" - they didn't have the cheese (huh ?? Pizza Hut ran out of cheese ?? its like KFC run out on chicken .. *rotfl*). instead of looking "goldenly", it ended up looking like "toes" .. secondly, the "taste" - instead of tasting like "Chinese food", it kinda taste like "Malay food". i think the problem is the sauce, not exactly sure what kinda sauce though .. satay ?? masala ??

hasn't been to Pizza Hut for quite a while, reason being their service's attitude especially during peak hour. n this definitely isn't what i expected from the recent visit. *weak laugh* please do let me know if you know which Pizza Hut (Kuching branch) that serves well even during peak hour, i do misses my cheese ..

The Kingdom (2007)

this movie doesn't stayed on screen very long before it was removed, n i finally knew the reason. the film was very slow paced for an action thriller, bored especially for people who preferred actions rather than listening to conversations. but without these conversations, there will be huge confusions on what is going on .. though the plot was simple, yet unnecessary redundant characters made it very confusing. the FBI team doesn't exactly need 4 people, n the Arabic soldiers, sorry to say, all look too similar to identify who are the bad guys. a terrorist bombing detonates at a Western housing compound in Saudi Arabia. FBI assembled a team n head to Saudi Arabia to locate the mastermind behind the bombing. the FBI agents find their expertise worthless without the trust of their Saudi counterparts. finally in a fight for their lives, the Saudi Arabia army unites with the FBI agents in search of justice in The Kingdom.

Da Capo Second Season ダ・カーポ (2005)

the anime was .. *speechless* the plot was boring. 1 guy many girls, all girls fall for the same guy, the guy too innocent to notice it. d'oh .. ?? n in the end he falls for his younger sister, non blood related but sister nonetheless, double d'oh .. ?? anyway, the anime focused on the arrival of a western country girl, named Aisha. she believes everyone have the equal chance with Jun'ichi n fight for it with the help of the mysterious cherry tree.

CJ7 长江7号 (2008)

no, Stephen is not the main character of this movie, the Boy (Jiao Xu - 徐娇) .. erm correction: Girl .. is. he is a rather talented kid .. with an exaggerated expression .. at times, he .. erm she .. really does look like "just another kid", pure n adorable. as predicted, the story evolves around the little fluffy creature, named cj7 by the kid. the bonding between father n child, is indeed touching .. the father is a poor labour, struggled to earn a living with his kid. while picking leftover garbage one day, the father picked a strange toy. playing with the toy, the kid found out that the toy is able to transformed into a fluffy animal, n named it "cj7". cj7 then helped them through the obstacles faced.

Kung Fu Dunk 功夫灌篮 (2008)

again, many had discourage me with this jay's movie. they are wrong, again .. though the plot is pretty much predictable from the trailers, but the movie is anything but boring, that's for sure. jay had managed to show more expressions compared to his previous movie, which is rather interesting, especially his naughty-self. he has yet, so much to expand n explore, n so much for us to discover what he is capable of .. grew up in a kung-fu school, he was thrown out for causing trouble in town. he then joined the basketball team n did very well with his well-trained kung-fu senses.

Firecrackers.

has been years since i last stood as close to firecrackers as i did tonight. the weather was amazingly cooperative !! the air was filled with thrilling sounds made by the fireworks n firecrackers adjacently; the sky was coloured from time to time, by volatile patterns.

i'm no huge fan of Gundam (ガンダム), but this picture shared by -jing- sure makes me whistle.

Chinese New Year.

this year's CNY (Chinese New Year) falls on the February 7th, 2008 - the "year of the Earth Rat (鼠)" has officially started .. almost !! last year -2007- was the "year of the Fire Boar (亥)", yet Boars hasn't had their greatest year ..

- Boars in Rat years (2008) -

Rat years tend to be times of instability for Boars. you would have experienced several life changes last year. n these changes are likely to influence the outcome of this year. all you need to do, is work with the changes n make necessary improvements. last year’s bad luck will continue to have strong influence over the first half of 2008.

if a Relationship was ended last year, make an effort to pull yourself together. if it was neither ended nor having any plans in marriage, your lover should be pampered to strengthen the relationship.

there are good news on the Financial though, getting plenty of investment opportunities. the first half of 2008 may be difficult to make right decisions caused by the emotional instability (influenced by 2007).

Forewarned is Forearmed. while may not be able to avoid all the Bad Luck that looks set to come your way, steps could be taken to minimize the loss (carrying minimal amount of money, keeping a spare set of keys ..).

Blonde Ambition (2007)

no offense, but Jessica's films always seemed to have the same style to it - a naive blonde girl got cheated, then suddenly turned into some wise girl n stood up for herself. or at least, that is again, what i felt while watching through this film. i believe it was easy to conclude that there won't be much surprises throughout the film. however .. yup, however .. there was an unforgettable scene for me - 4 priests singing in a bar. it was hilarious, such an undeniable cool idea !! that was, indeed, refreshing ..

i was caught off guard while being asked "so you didn't share the photographs you had taken n placed in your blog, in any other online community ?? maybe Flickr??" aha .. n my mouth automatically formed an "O", voicing "no" as the answer ..

the "reminder" caused a sudden realization in me, on how comfortable we usually get with what we already have or knew. yet at times, there are so much more available out there that we can utilize n enhance ourselves with. wait .. did i just make "flickr" into a "life lesson" ??

oh n by the way, it is decided that i'll now post all my photographs from previous post, to my flickr account, which i rarely utilized until now. n of course, that includes my yet to come photographs too. *smiling sheepishly*

the lion dance has always been my favorite event during Chinese New Year. these gigantic yet adorable lions never failed to amuse me !! they are believed to be the guardian creature (吉祥物), cable of chasing the bad luck away.
